Boston
Two friends and I drove up to Boston to visit my little brother, and check out the city. We left on a Friday afternoon and had an uneventful drive, which in my book is the best kind of drive. We even found our hotel without much effort, you have to love triple A. We arrived around 6 o'clock in the afternoon, and decided to find Radius, the restaurant my brother works at. After walking about 5 to 10 blocks down the road the restaurant was suppose to be on we decided to look at a map and realized we had walked about 10 blocks to far. So we turned around and headed back. We found Radius and then decided to grab a drink, and wait for my brother got out of work. When Midnight rolled around we talked to my brother who told us to meet him outside the restaurant. Then it was off to a 24 hour dinner for a bite to eat. I had to have the Chocolate Chip pancakes, and since it was late we headed right back to our hotel.
The next day was spent walking around Boston, checking out Fenway and walking down Beacon Street. We had a nice time just enjoying the weather, and sites of the city. By the time we got back to the hotel we all needed a nap. So knowing our reservations were at 9 o'clock we took a break. We went to the restaurant and had an excellent meal, though it wasn't inexpensive. Who cares though when food tastes that good. By the time we were ready to leave my brother and his fellow employees were done with work. So it was off to the bar for a few after work drinks with the fine group of restaurant employees. Then of course we had to go get some food, since they hadn't eaten since the family meal at the restaurant. China Town was a unique experience for a guy who grew up in little ole Rochester, New York (though I do love this city). So after a bit to eat I headed back to the Hotel and fell asleep. The next morning was spent hanging out with my brother and his roommate to see a bit more of the city, before we jumped back on the highway to head home. Needless to say I had a great time in Boston and plan on heading back some time in the near future, though my budget won't allow me to eat at Radius again, though I would love to!
